A father leaves his son for the noblest of reasons.
~A Soldiers Reason~

I can remember the first time that I
saw your smiling face,
I held you close to my heart you could
probably hear it race.
I changed your first diaper, and I know
it took a while.
your daddy’s baby boy and you’re the
perfect child.
It’s been about two months now, and I
don’t have much to give.
so daddy must leave for a while so that
you may live.
When I come back son I know you won’t
remember me,
but we’ll build a bond at the fishing
pond with unforgettable memories.
It’s time for me to go now son to build
a soldiers legacy.
To fight a war in another land someday
you will be proud of me.
Not so much for country, not so much
for pride.
But for you my baby boy, for your
future I would die.

this is beautiful (smiling)Happy Fathers day x

~The Hearts Library~

Imagine if I was given one moment,
just a single slice of my past.
I could hold it close forever,
and that moment would always last.

Id put the moment in a safe,
within my hearts abode.
I could open it when I wanted,
and only I would know the code.

I could choose a time of laughing,
a time of happiness and fun.
I could choose a time that tried me,
through everything I’ve done.

I sat and thought about what moment,
would always make me smile.
One that would always push me,
to walk that extra mile.

If I’m feeling sad and low,
if I’m struggling with what to do.
I can go and open my little safe,
and watch my moment through.

There are moments I can think of,
that would lift my spirits every time.
The moments when you picked me up,
when the road was hard to climb.

For me to only pick one moment,
to cherish, save and keep,
Is proving really difficult,
as I’ve gathered up a heap!

I’ve dug deep inside my heart,
found the safe and looked inside,
there was room for lots of moments,
in fact hundreds if I tried.

Am building my own little library,
embedded in my heart,
for all the moments spent with you,
before you had to part.

I can open it up whenever I like,
pick a moment and watch it through,
My little library acts as a promise,
I’ll never ever forget you

Carrot/Egg or Coffee bean inspirational!!

types-of-coffee-beans-image

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed that as one problem was solved a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs and the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.

Turning to her daughter, she asked, “Tell me what do you see?”
“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied. She brought her closer and
asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they got soft. She then asked her to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, she asked her to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma.

The daughter then asked. “What’s the point, mother?” Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity–boiling water–but each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting. However after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior. But, after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water they had changed the water.

“Which are you?” she asked her daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?”

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but
with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with
the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a break-up, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it
releases the fragrance and flavour. If you are like the bean, when things
are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to
another level?

How do you handle Adversity? ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG, OR A COFFEE BEAN?

Don’t tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is!

i love this! i want to be seen as the coffee bean (smiling)

Next time you feel youre the unlucky one in life think of this.

sperm

Next time you feel youre the unlucky one in life think of this. There are 300 Million sperm cells, you were the one that was chosen, that’s a 300’000’000 : 1 chance that the sperm that had potential to create you got there first. The time of when your parents were together, that’s 60 minutes x 24 hours x 365 days x 10 (or however many years they had been together) that’s 5,256,000 hours of spending time with each other. This means there was around a 5,256,000 : 1 chance that the hour you were conceived happened to be that hour, not forgetting all the uncountable possibilities of your parents splitting up in the 5,256,000 hours of being together before that hour. The number of people on this planet total around 6,602,224,175, this means out of the 6,602,224,175 alive (maybe some less because of the ever growing population), your parents chose each other, that’s nearly a 6,602,224,175 : 1 chance that your parents met in the first place. This is not all, think of this on a scale of the millions of generations before you then multiply your chances from the start of time up until now. You can’t, its not possible, there is no calculator big enough in the world to calculate the chances of you being here today. After realising this infinitely small chance of you being born, the next time you feel your the unlucky one, think again.

How amazing never ever thought of this before (smiling)

~Life is a miracle~
Don’t let it slip away, Open your heart to others Give of yourself each day
See the beauty in everyone Regardless of where they’ve been,
Some have a difficult journey And really need a friend.
Share your gifts and talents Listen with your heart.
Do the things you dream about But don’t have time to start.
Show someone that you care,
Be gracious and forgiving Life is never fair.
Hold on to your courage You may need it down the road,
We all have a cross to bear It could be a heavy load.
If you practice all these things No matter where you roam,
You may find both sun and rain But you’ll never feel alone!

~always tomorrow~

~always tomorrow~

We can all say, there is “always tomorrow”,
For something that we would like to say or do.

But in life there is no promise of a tomorrow,
And what happens if tomorrow doesn’t find you?

Therefore, don’t continually put off something,
Which is very important for you to do, or to say.

Many things are unpredictable within this life;
If you wait, your chance might be taken away.

 Sometimes we are waiting for the “right time”;
But what happens if that time doesn’t come?
We are then left behind with heartfelt regrets,
Over something so important being left undone.

Our heart could be left feeling so torn apart,
Because time ran out on us; we were too late.

We didn’t seize the opportunities when given,
Before someone entered through Heaven’s Gate.

But what if it is you, who is not here tomorrow,
And someone else is left without words from you?
Or regret over time never being found, and taken,
To do something together, you had wanted to do.

If there is something important enough to you,
For you to want it to be either said, or to be done.

Then don’t put all these things off until tomorrow,
Just in case the tomorrow you want doesn’t come.

Time is an unknown quantity within our lifetime;
It can suddenly, without warning, be taken away.

So don’t live life saying there’s “always tomorrow”
But seize the opportunities as you find them today.

just in case i do not have Tomorrow, i am letting my dear friends know, you all make a difference in my life in many different ways (smiling)

Thank You

ALL NIGHT LONG….! So funny

•May 11, 2009 • Leave a Comment

It was a hot Saturday evening in the summer of 1960, and Fred had a date with Peggy Sue. He arrived at her house and rang the bell.

‘Oh, come on in!’ Peggy Sue’s mother said as she Welcomed Fred in.

‘Have a seat in the living room. Would you like something to drink? Lemonade? Iced tea?’

‘Iced tea, please,’ Fred said.
Mom brought the iced tea.

‘So, what are you and Peggy planning to do tonight?’ She asked.

‘Oh, probably catch a movie, and then maybe grab a bite to eat at the malt shop, maybe take a walk on the beach…’

‘Peggy likes to screw, you know,’ Mom informed him.

‘Really?’ Fred replied; eyebrows rose.

‘Oh yes,’ the mother continued, ‘When she goes out with her friends, that’s all they do!’

‘Is that so?’ asked Fred, incredulous. ‘Yes,’ said the mother. ‘As a matter of fact, she’d screw all night if we let her!’

‘Well, thanks for the tip!’ Fred said as he began Thinking about alternate plans for the evening.

A moment later, Peggy Sue came down the stairs Looking pretty as a picture, wearing a pink blouse and A hoop skirt, and with her hair tied back In a bouncy ponytail. She greeted Fred.

‘Have fun, kids!’ the mother said as they left.

Half an hour later, a completely dishevelled Peggy Sue burst into the house and slammed the front door behind her.

‘The Twist, Mom!’ she angrily yelled to her mother in the kitchen. ‘The f**king dance is called the Twist!’

Attitude Determines Attitude

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important.

My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me. I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

This was sent as a text!

i hope you choose to have a good day (smiling)
